Who Isn't Getting Vaccinated In Texas

Vaccinations have been in the news a lot lately. Texas law allows for an exemption from immunizations for reasons of conscience, including religious beliefs. Recently, KUT ran a story covering the rise in these exceptions. I was curious which counties had the most exceptions, so I decided to map it for myself! Luckily, the data was somewhat readily available from the State of Texas Health Department.

This visualization takes a look at the percentage of total students per county that have filed this exception with the state. This data includes all grade-levels.
